Description
Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7 Tennessee Whiskey – Black Label (750 ml, 80 Proof / 40% ABV)
As Jack Daniel’s flagship expression, Old No. 7 (also known as the Black Label) is the world-renowned Tennessee Whiskey that launched the brand’s legacy. Crafted from a mash bill of roughly 80% corn, 12% barley malt, and 8% rye, it undergoes the traditional Lincoln County charcoal mellowing process—drip-filtered through 10 feet of sugar maple charcoal—to deliver its signature smoothness and clarity. The whiskey is matured in handcrafted, charred white oak barrels until the Master Taster deems it ready for bottling.
Tasting Notes:
-
Nose: Caramel, vanilla, banana bread, soft oak
-
Palate: Balanced sweetness—oak, honeyed fruit, light baking spice
-
Finish: Medium length with gentle banana or honey notes and mild tannic bitterness
Born of tradition, Old No. 7 is approachable enough for everyday sipping and versatile enough to mix in cocktails like an Old Fashioned, Whiskey Sour, or Jack and Coke . It also serves as the foundational base for various flavored Jack Daniels expressions and barrel-proof offerings.
