By making a purchase through the Wine Barrel's Secured Shopping Cart, you are agreeing to the following policies and conditions.  Please read the following policies and conditions in its entirety as your order will be processed accordingly.

1.                                                              Rush Delivery
If your order request is urgent and requires immediate attention there will be a Twenty dollar ($20.00) RUSH FEE added to the order, this will insure that your order gets immediate attention and will be given priority over all other non rush delivery orders. Click Below to add a $20 Rush Shipment Fee to your order if you would like your order to be handled immediately.

2.                                          Shipping Handling and Packaging Information

                                                           Please Read 
The method of shipping chosen (i.e. overnight two day or ground) merely indicates the amount of time it will take for your package to be delivered once it gets into the carriers hands. Choosing a method of shipping alone does not guarantee the speed in which your order will be processed. Order requests are handled in the sequence in which they are received, if you would like your request to take precedence you must follow the rush delivery instructions. Because our shopping carts can not accurately calculate detailed shipping, handling and packaging cost, your cost may be different than stated.  Orders provided with incorrect addresses will be assessed additional charges for the correction. 

3.                                                                 Return Policy
All discrepancies or claims for damaged merchandise or errors must be reported no later then two days after delivery. Claims made after two days are ineligible.  There is a 15% restocking fee on all returned items. Absolutely no refunds or exchanges on alcoholic beverages by Michigan state law.  shipping, handling and packaging cost are non-refundable

Vintage Wine Purchases of 1998 and Older:

Buyer accepts all purchases of Wine Barrel wines older than 1998 in an "AS IS" condition. Buyers of vintage wine should know that the industry standard for vintage wines gone bad is 4% to 7%. Wines using a cork may be ruined because of a natural fungus in the cork that produces the chemical compound trichloroanisole, or TCA. The Wine Barrel shipping staff checks for TCA prior to shipping and as well, buyers of wines older than 10 years of age should check for TCA prior to opening their vintage wine. TCA has an odor of moldy musty paper. If the vintage wine bottle does have TCA then the NOSE of the wine can be degraded. If TCA is heavy in the cork then the wine will be undrinkable, so make sure you check for TCA. We do not accept returns of any corked wine for any reason. Michigan State Law prohibits the return of any alcohol or alcoholic beverage(wine, liquor, beer). Should there be a claim on any of your purchased wine from Wine Barrel please write the claim in as much detail as possible and fax to 734-522-3764 or email Wine Barrel at Mark@winebarrel.com

    Age Confirmation
To prevent the sale of alcohol or tobacco to minors all first time buyers are required to read, signed and fax this form back to us. click here -----> (age confirmation) and print.  This process is preformed one time, once we have your information on file you will not have to do it again.  We will not process order request containing alcohol or tobacco without this form. To purchase alcoholic or tobacco products you MUST provide proof of age. There are NO exceptions. We Will only Ship  to the person and address confirming their age provided in the age conformation form.

5.                                                            Wine shipping policy
Delivering wine in the same condition in which it has been stored in our environmentally controlled cellar is crucial. To avoid possible heat or freeze damage during shipping all items purchased out of our environmentally controlled cellar should be sent 2day or faster.  Common wines like those found in your neighborhood retail store may be shipped by ground delivery. Because ground shipping methods are unpredictable Wine Barrel will not be responsible for damages, which may occur when selecting ground shipments. Our most common concern with ground-shipments is the possibility for delays, which may result heat or freeze damage.

7.                                                              Method of Payment
Orders paid by check or money order may be eligible for a special discount call 734-522-9463 ask for Rich or Mark.  Orders paid by check or money order will not be shipped until the check or money order clears, approximately 7 to 10 days. Non-sufficient fund check will be assessed a $35.00 fee.  

8.                                                                    Sales Tax
Because these orders originate from Michigan, all orders consisting of alcohol  are charged the local sales tax of (6.0%) levied by the state of Michigan.     

9.                                                                  Substitutions
To prevent unnecessary delays in the event of an item being out of stock, we will make a substitution. If you prefer to have no substitution made, please indicate so by placing “NO SUBSTITUTIONS” in the “SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS” area of the order form, which will be presented  as you continue.

10. You must be at least 21 years of age to purchase Alcohol. By placing your order you have represented to Wine Barrel Plus that you are at least 21. All Alcohol delivered must be received by an adult of legal drinking age showing proper I.D.; this also includes items shipped out of the United States.

11. By agreeing to these terms & conditions, you hereby authorize us to bill your credit/debit card in accordance with your chosen Purchase and billing amount.
